How Bout Us!

During a stirring trip to Louisville, Kentucky for the weekend for an audition and to indulge myself in some ORIGINAL Kentucky fried chicken, I was introduced by my gaiety server to a singing group from the 80's called Champaign. Not Champagne, but CHAMPAIGN. Why the deviated spelling? Well, because they are from Champaign, Illinois...duh. She found the old vinyl album while going through her things and HAD to get it on cassette so she can enjoy the superior sound quality, and not to mention that vinyls are slowly starting to go out of style. In any case, the song they are best know for spoke truths that people spend years in solitude, drinking tea and pruning plants to uncover. The song was called, "How 'Bout Us." Not how about us, but "How 'Bout Us." Ya digg?--Like a shovel. Point is, the singer is singing about his relationship. He says if the fire's out, we should both be gone. I know, I know, doesn't sound too promising, the guys relationship is seemingly about to end. BUT, the chorus of this song simply says, "Some people are made for each other, some people can love one another for life. How 'Bout Us." eh?....It goes on to say, "Some people can hold it together, Last through all kinds of weather. Can we?" Can we? CAN WE????? I can only hope she stopped acting so stank and got it together! "Are we gonna make it girl or are we gonna drift and drift and drift?" It speaks to me. I've had my share of troubling relationships, and I never understand why things are the way they are! You like me, I like you, we like each other. SO LET'S GET ALONG!!! Walt Disney may have hated Jews, but he knew a thing or two about relationships. Happily Ever After...maybe I'm crazy. Maybe happily ever after is a childhood dream. But according to logic, if you want to be with someone then BE WITH THEM!!! Don't let little disputes injure a great relationship! "I want to be with you forever!!" Then be with me forever!! HOLD IT TOGETHER!!!! Keep it simple and I'll be your friend forever. People are always trying to complicate things, trying to muddy them up with frivolous worries and complaints. EVERYBODY CHILL OUT!!!! It ain't that serious. So my question is, if everyone else can love one another for life and last through all kinds of weather, why can't we!! Stop running at the site of a challenge! No rain, no rainbows. And besides, it's not like you're going through alone....chew on that.
